Design of a upright drilling machine
Matoušek, Kamil ; Bilík, Martin (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to propose a design of an upright drilling machine. The upright drilling machine is described in the first part. Research about machines available on the market nowadays is accomplished in the second part of the thesis. Based on this research the parameters of machine are selected in the final part and proposal of the engineering design of an upright drilling machine. Basic construction calculations are made too. The result of this thesis is an assembly drawing and a 3D model of an upright drilling machine.
Two-speed gearbox
Kratěna, Jan ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Ždímal, Pavel (advisor)
The objective of this work was to create the „Technical Documentation of Two-Speed Transmission“. The submission included a brief content of the demanded work. At first, calculations of gear ratio, tooth system dimensions and module were performed. Subsequently calculations of single tooth wheel loads and their safety were performed. After the tooth system calculation the shaft, bearings and key calculations followed. The Technical Documentation was completed with pictures and charts that illustrate the individual load points. A 3D model of the two-speed transmission inclusive detailed drawings of the individual shafts and tooth wheels were created as a part of the documentation as well.
High-speed Steam Turbine
Vitovská, Michaela ; Trojan, Aleš (referee) ; Trojan, Aleš (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a high-speed steam turbine at given parameters provided by G-Team a.s. in Velka Bíteš. The introductory part briefly focuses on historical development of steam turbines, their operational principle and process of energy transformation. In the main part the machinery analysis of high-speed turbines has been carried out. In addition, a preliminary design of the number of turbine stages has been done. Furthermore, a thermodynamic calculation of flow channel for given input and output paramaters has been done together with the conception of construction design and turbogenerator layout. The final part introduces technical comparison of a one-stage and multy-stage high-speed steam turbine.
Eufunction and dysfunction in theories of collective action
Kinská, Michaela ; Maslowski, Nicolas (advisor) ; Německý, Marek (referee)
In this work, we deal with theories of collective action. To categorize the researchers used information from the functionalist approach. The aim is to provide an overview of sociologists concerned with theories of collective action, i. e. various forms of collective action. Mainly for this work is the concept of function and its distribution eufunction and dysfunction as two poles. Researchers are closer to those poles. The inclusion of researchers in these poles are still dealing with other characteristics that unite and differentiate. In the first chapters of the thesis deals with the functionalist concepts and theories of collective action. The next chapter is already engaged functionalist categorization and other characteristics researchers. The chapter is divided into two parts, which correspond to two functionalist terms, i. e. eufunction and dysfunction. Keywords functionalism, collective action, eufunction, dysfunction, crowds, social movements, revolutions, R. K. Merton, T. Parsons
Global Games
Fiala, Tomáš ; Gregor, Martin (advisor) ; Janda, Karel (referee)
In this thesis we review literature about the coordination problem under an uncertainty. We set up a continuum player model of collective action, in which part of the population must coordinate on an action in order to achieve a mutual benefit. The complete information version of the model features multiple equilibria. We study the role of various sources of uncertainty in the model and compare them. We also examine the role of private and public information. We discuss particularly the global game, the coordination game of incomplete information in which agents received different but correlated signals about the state. We demonstrate that in the global game an unique equilibrium can be found by iterated elimination of dominated strategies. We compare the global game to related models and examine the consequences of relaxing the assumptions of global game. In addition we show some practical implication of the model for revolutions and currency crises.
